No Meeting On January 2, 2016

In case you have not read any messages before this one, there is not a NUT meeting today, January 2, 2016.

The meeting was moved to next Saturday, January 9, 2016.

The great people at Hy-Vee on NW 64th street will still welcome you if you go today but don’t expect anyone else from the NUT list to be there.

One thing I’d like to see this year for the NUT list is involvement of other people. This list and the monthly meetings are for everyone.
If you read about something interesting in relation to technology, share the info with others. It doesn’t just have to be about blindness related technology.

Starting in February we will have a larger meeting area at Hy-Vee. Invite and encourage others to join the list and come to the monthly meetings.

Ask questions or suggest ideas for things to talk about both on the list and for a meeting.

We can only be a helpful resource to others if more people get involved in the discussion and conversation.

No question is stupid, everyone is at a different knowledge with any topic or device. We all have something to learn from each other. The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask because you are afraid of what other people will think.

Encourage other people to continue posting information to the list. If you read about a device or program that sounds interesting to you, speak up and say something. If you want to know if there is a program or way to do something, ask your question on the list or at a meeting.

To post a new message to the NUT list, use this address:

If you don’t know how to do that, ask. That is what we are here for. Steve
