Thanks to all who attended today’s Northland Users of Technology meeting.
We had a demonstration of using a bar code scanner to identify products and to get directions and nutritional information.
We listened to an interview with a reporter for USA Today about why you shouldn’t use publicly available WiFi networks. All of that was done with the $99 Kangaroo PC.
We also discussed adding calendar entries to your IOS or Android device and planned on some things to focus on for next month.
Besides all of the talking and demonstrations, we enjoyed some yummy food thanks to Rebecca and Grace from Hy-Vee.
We get together the second Saturday of the month in the Club Room in the Hy-Vee on NW 64th Street in Kansas City.
In case you were wondering, yes, you can use Share-A-Fare to get to and from that address.
